A concrete tassel decorated with sumptuous trimmings from the merciers and passementiers of Paris.
These mini-sculptures, each individually cast by hand, are concrete casts of real silk tassels with all the intricate detail of the original. The raw quality of the monochrome concrete is an intriguing contrast to the luxurious coloured cords and delicate trimmings.

This tassel has been turned into a curtain tie back by adding a delicate black silk cord, black gimp and a piece of vintage French passementerie made up from leaves and seeds in pewter and lilac. The back of the tassel holds a delicate black velvet flower.
Cannot only be used as a tie back but would make a fabulous wall hanging.
