2002 château trébiac, graves, bordeaux 75cl
the estate of trébiac dates back to the 18th century when it was a priory and it was eventually donated to a congregation of franciscan nuns. today the estate is still being run on behalf of the sisters. the blend is merlot 60%, cabernet sauvignon 30% and cabernet franc 10% and the wine spends three weeks in vat and eighteen months in old oak before release. fragrant with eloquent notes of pinewood, pepper and dried fruits. quite savory with lovely acidity.
