This a beautiful black dress by Elinor Gay. It is from the late 1950's or the Early 1960's and is very well made as Elinor Gay always is. It has with sheer chiffon sleeves and a big pink rose! The dress is rayon and the sleeves and bodice are an accordion-pleated chiffon it fastens at the back with a black metal zip. The is one tiny pin hole sized hole in the bodice ( looks like a shop tag was originally attached there) but it is only noticable only very close inspection. The Rose has the most signs of wear and is frayed at the edges but it does not distract from the sheer beauty of this dress.
