This beautiful limited edition letterpress print celebrates the poetic artistry and genius of the inimitable Patti Smith
Musician, artist, rock star, political activist, author…. all of these titles can justly be applied to Patti Smith but It is perhaps as a poet that she herself would most like to be recognised.
Her greatest artistic inspiration comes from the likes of Rimbaud and William Blake and indeed her life on stage actually began not in a band, but as a performing poet at St Marks Church in New York in the early 1970's. For this print, as part of our 'Poets Collection' we have distilled the lyrics of Patti's debut album, 'Horses' into a striking letterpress print.
This design is strictly limited to an edition of 200 and each print is unique, being individually number stamped.
The print is A3 in size (approx. 17"x12") and is printed using a vintage Heidelberg Letterpress onto 100% recycled 270gsm board.
All prints are shipped in sturdy extra wide poster tubes to avoid curling.
Please allow extra time for delivery if buying from outside the UK.
Please note, the frame shown in the photographs is for illustration purposes only and not included in the sale. Prints will fit into a standard A3 sized frame.
