Bouf Goes Underground
If you’re a Londoner, chances are you’re going to see a lot of Bouf on and around the capital’s iconic Tube network.
Because Bouf.com is now on-board (ahem) with Transport for London. Over the next three years we’ll be bringing stunning products and partnerships focused on the capital’s brightest design talent. This design-led partnership pays tribute to the Underground’s very own visionary patron of the arts: Frank Pick, the man behind the iconic design that makes London Underground world famous as more than just a transport network.
The Charles Holden designed Piccadilly Circus Station itself, commissioned by Pick, is home to Langland & Bell’s memorial artwork to Frank Pick commissioned by The London Transport Museum and Art on the Underground, and Bouf are proud to have supported the production of the work. You can visit us at the station in our Christmas Stocking Project pop up shop until 24th December, where we do our bit to promote the best in London design.
We just love London Underground’s incredible design history. From the moquette fabrics, skilfully reimagined for Bouf by Katie Jones in her giant knitted christmas stocking, to Frank Pick’s specially commissioned artwork and posters we’re applying a Bouf lens to this historic archive. We’ll be working with the best in design talent to produce some amazing, fresh new products for Bouf.com too! Watch this space (and mind the gap obviously!)
