Over the past few weeks Governments and people across the world have taken unprecedented action in the fight against COVID-19. This is having a profound impact on many and here at bouf.com we remain committed to supporting you during these times of uncertainty.
Our priority continues to be able to offer both our customers and marketplace sellers the very best service levels. This means regular contact and updates where required on product availability, delivery and item tracking. As a UK-based business, our focus on supporting local businesses and reviewing our standard operating model has been at the forefront of our minds these past few days.
The UK Government recently announced a number of temporary measures to support small businesses and help mitigate the impact on what would usually be standard operating costs. We know that many of our sellers are sole traders / small businesses and we value them immensely. With this in mind, we have taken the decision that from Monday 23rd March 2020 we will place our standard commission based fee on hold – this means when you buy from bouf.com you are ensuring our sellers receive 100%** of the sale proceeds.
We believe it is important to be able to offer a commission free marketplace capability** at this time. Our aim is to help as many UK-based small businesses to sell their products online, further limiting the disruption at this difficult time. We support many small businesses selling Personalised Gifts, quality Homeware, Lighting + more. What steps are your sellers taking to protect buyers at this time?
Public Health England has advised there is no risk to the COVID-19 virus spreading via Products. Our sellers are taking usual duty and care when making and/or dispatching items to you in line with Public Health best practice.
