The Rarest of Birds Pink Dodo Winged Locket Charm Necklace
The Dodo was a clumsy flightless bird who lived on the island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. Lewis Carroll reputedly used the Dodo in the Natural History museum in Oxford for the character of the Dodo in Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland. The Dodo displayed there is on of the few rare surviving specimens anywhere in the world.
I love the museum and this little trinket is an idea I had whilst perusing the exhibits there recently. It is one of my most favourite places to spend an afternoon with my sketchbook.
This is a locket made with a picture of a pink Dodo that is exclusive to Hoolala. As Featured in The Sunday Times Style Magazine.
The silver plated locket measures 35mm x 23mm the wings measure 30mm x 12mm and the chain measures 62cms. The necklace will come gift wrapped ready for giving (or keeping ;).
